Traditional braces often use elastic ties to hold the wires in place, which can sometimes feel tight. The Damon system is innovative because it uses a "tie-less" slide mechanism. This allows your teeth to move more freely and quickly. Since there are no elastics to replace, the next step is easy. You’ll spend less time in the chair for adjustments during your office visits, giving you more time to focus on what matters most to you.

A Focus On Your Comfort

Even though this system works efficiently, it uses a very gentle force. While there can be some occasional discomfort during treatment — particularly after adjustments — overall, our patients find treatment in Damon braces more comfortable because the movement is steady and light.

Braces That Are Easy To Keep Clean

It’s much easier to stay on top of brushing and flossing without elastic ties. Those little elastics can sometimes collect plaque, but the smooth design of Damon braces makes dental hygiene simple. We also offer clear brackets for a more personalized look that stays discreet throughout your journey. That said, sometimes our patients like to add more personality to their braces treatment with ties in different colors. It underscores a need for more careful hygiene during treatment, but if it's a tradeoff the patient understands, we are happy to help make it happen!
